Serving O’Fallon, IL

As you search for a new crossover SUV, the Honda lineup deserves your full attention. The subcompact HR-V and the compact CR-V are two-row models that have several notable updates for the 2023 model year. While they are both two-row models, they differ in bold ways from front to rear. After you get to know the 2023 HR-V and the 2023 CR-V, which crossover will you select?

Performance

When you test drive the CR-V and the HR-V at Serra Honda O’Fallon, you will notice key differences in their performances. All of the HR-V’s trims are equipped with a 158-horsepower, four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine and a CVT. Both front-wheel and all-wheel drive are available. The CR-V, on the other hand, is offered with two engines. The turbocharged 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine produces 190 horsepower. The CR-V’s higher trims have a hybrid engine that generates 204 total horsepower. Front-wheel drive is standard for most trims. However, the 2023 CR-V Sport Touring comes with all-wheel drive.

Appearance

Both the 2023 HR-V and CR-V are well-designed with contemporary, athletic styles. The smaller HR-V displays a curved profile along with a down-trending grille and edgy, LED-underscored headlights. From the side view, you will find angled, deep contours. The CR-V has flatter surfaces across its profile and a larger grille. The narrow, triangular headlights are LED-enhanced. Across the CR-V’s sides, the smooth surfaces are enhanced by thin pinstripes on the upper and lower panels.

Features

At different trim levels, the HR-V and the CR-V have many similar features. Some of these are heated front seats, parking sensors, a satellite radio system, leather material, a sunroof, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, smartphone app connectivity, and numerous other features. The 2023 CR-V is also available with a driver alert monitor, a Bose audio system, speed limit recognition, and lane-centering assistance.
