2023 Honda CR-V vs 2022 Honda CR-V
Serving O’Fallon, IL
The compact Honda CR-V has been a leading contender for auto shoppers in the O’Fallon area for years. In 2023, the CR-V introduces bold improvements from front to rear with the introduction of its sixth generation. What will you discover when you compare the 2022 CR-V to the next-generation CR-V?
Performance
For both 2022 and 2023, the CR-V’s LX, EX, and EX-L trims are equipped with a four-cylinder, turbocharged 1.5-liter gas engine that produces 190 horsepower. The hybrid powertrain offered in a separate trim level in 2022 is now standard in all of the upper trims for 2023. This is a four-cylinder hybrid engine that delivers 204 combined horsepower. For most trims in 2022 and 2023, front-wheel drive is standard.
Appearance
In 2023, the Honda CR-V has a refreshed look with slightly larger dimensions. The new front-end design has a reshaped grille with black mesh. The angled headlights have a geometric look with a bold LED light running across the top. The hood smoothly cascades to the grille with angled definition lines. The sides are enhanced by a thick, gray accent and athletic contouring. Some or all trims have rain-sensing windshield wipers, a hands-free liftgate, up to 19-inch wheels and LED taillights.
Features
Many aspects of the 2023 CR-V are comparable to the 2022 CR-V. However, the central display screen has been upgraded to improve the driver’s experience. In between the central display screen and the interface for the auto climate control system’s interface, a long, mesh-accented bar runs across the dashboard. For both model years, some or all of the CR-V’s trims include a 12-speaker Bose sound system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a push-button engine starter, and more. Both model years also have safety technologies like forward collision mitigation, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and more.
