A Sport Coupe, Built on a Hybrid
The Prelude pairs a 2.0L Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder with a 181-hp electric traction motor for 200 hp total. Power is sent through a Direct Drive Unit instead of a conventional transmission, and Honda S+ Shift takes over from there, electronically simulating the response and feel of an eight-speed performance transmission.
There are two configurations: the Hybrid, starting at $42,000, and the Hybrid Two-Tone, starting at $42,500, which adds a gloss-black roof and black mirror covers. Both share identical mechanical specs.

Chassis & Handling
Composed At Speed.
Dual-axis front suspension and adaptive dampers, both derived from the Civic Type R, keep the Prelude settled through fast direction changes. Agile Handling Assist and Active Noise Cancellation come standard, along with four drive modes (Comfort, GT, Sport, and Individual) and a tight 38.0-foot turning diameter.

The Prelude's 200-hp rating comes from two very different sources working together. A 2.0L gas engine behaves like a conventional engine, while an electric motor delivers its full torque instantly. Honda blends the two through a Direct Drive Unit, with no traditional gearbox involved.
