2025 Honda HR-V vs 2025 Honda CR-V
Serving O’Fallon, IL
The HR-V and the CR-V are Honda’s first two crossover SUVs in the 2025 lineup. The subcompact HR-V and the compact CR-V remain unchanged for the 2025 model year and possess impressive traits and unique features that make them top contenders. What should you know about these Honda crossovers before making your final decision?
Performance
The 2025 Honda HR-V is available in three trims, all equipped with the same performance features. This crossover comes with a 158-horsepower, four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. While front-wheel drive is standard, all trims can be equipped with all-wheel drive. On the other hand, the 2025 Honda CR-V offers two powertrain systems across its six trims. The base system consists of a 190-horsepower, turbocharged 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. Additionally, a 204-horsepower, four-cylinder hybrid engine is also available. All trims come with a CVT, and most have standard front-wheel drive, except for the CR-V Sport, which has standard all-wheel drive.
Appearance
The HR-V features a small, sporty design with an arched profile and bold, angled contours along the door panels. The five-spoke wheels and understated black body molding complete the look from the sides. At the front, the 2025 HR-V sports a rounded nose, minimized air inlets, a small grille, and wide headlights that taper into a point. In contrast, the CR-V has larger dimensions and a taller roof. The side molding is slightly raised, and the sides are subtly accentuated. The front end exhibits similar air inlets and the well-defined black lower fascia. The large grille stands out with its woven mesh pattern, connecting to the long, slender LED lights.
Features
Both of these 2025 Honda models come with a range of modern features. Some shared features include leather upholstery, parking sensors, a wireless charging pad, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a dual-zone auto climate control system, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, heated front seats, remote engine start, blind-spot warning, road sign assist, lane centering, lane departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, USB ports, and more. If you choose the 2025 CR-V, your Honda crossover may include ambient cabin lights, a hands-free liftgate, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, a heated steering wheel, driver’s memory controls, and other amenities.
